Lyn Tomlinson is excited to be a new Technical Expert Lead II working on the RCORP-TA project at JBS International. Prior to JBS International, Ms. Tomlinson had a 35+ year career working in hospital, detoxification, psychosocial, residential, assessment, and outpatient settings as well as at a crisis hotline. For the past 29 years, Ms. Tomlinson was employed by the Fairfax Falls Church Community Services Board (CSB), a large behavioral health provider in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. Ms. Tomlinson held progressively responsible positions with the CSB, beginning as a behavioral health specialist providing direct service to youth and families with substance use and co-occurring disorders. Ms. Tomlinson was also a clinical supervisor, program manager, division director, and assistant deputy director. Ms. Tomlinson’s career with the CSB culminated as the Deputy Director of Clinical Operations from 2018 until her retirement in 2023. While Ms. Tomlinson retired from local county government, she remains passionate about health care and addressing disparities.

During her career with the CSB, Ms. Tomlinson developed, implemented, and championed peer support programs, medication-assisted recovery in a variety of settings, and diversion efforts. Ms. Tomlinson is highly collaborative, results oriented, and willing to do what it takes to complete the mission.

Since 2008, Ms. Tomlinson has also been a surveyor for the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitative Facilities. Her role entails a consultative approach to accrediting behavioral health facilities.

Ms. Tomlinson resides with her wife (Jen) and dog (Cali), and they are empty nesters. When not working, Ms. Tomlinson loves travel, road trips, reading, and hiking. Ms. Tomlinson plays in pickleball and women’s soccer leagues.
