This session presented resources and elements to consider when planning to collaborate with a local jail to establish pre- and post-release programing and coordination of care and services for individuals with SUD. The Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS) Cohort I tip sheet is a result of collaborative efforts of the NAS Cohort I grant recipients. Drawing on the insights and experiences of our grantees, we identified 9 key recommendations. These tips serve not only as a guiding framework for future NAS cohort grantees but also offers valuable guidance to all RCORP grant cohorts. This resource aims to enhance effectiveness and increase the impact of all RCORP grantee initiatives.

This workshop defined SDOH and discuss how they contributed to successful community engagement in rural communities. Case studies were used to share principles, theories, strategies, and lessons learned from implementing teenage pregnancy, SUD, and HIV/AID prevention projects in rural Georgia counties.

This webinar will introduce the newest RCORP program cohorts to the RCOEs, Fletcher Group, University of Rochester, and University of Vermont. These three cooperative agreements are charged with supporting the identification, translation, dissemination, and implementation of evidence-based programs and best practices, in addition to providing specialized TA to RCORP recipients and other rural providers.

Stigma and bias among community members, health care providers, and even family members toward individuals with substance use disorder negatively affects the care provided to this population. Stigma prevents individuals from seeking treatment and continues to divide them from their families, their communities, and the evidence-based treatments available.
