The Bureau of Justice Assistance and the National Institute of Corrections published the Guidelines for Managing Substance Withdrawal in Jails: A Tool for Local Government Officials, Jail Administrators, Correctional Officers, and Health Care Professionals to help increase access to evidence-based treatment for individuals with SUD and those who are at risk for overdose. There is a high prevalence of SUD among individuals who are incarcerated. Withdrawal while incarcerated is less discussed, but still poses a risk for individuals. The guidelines were created to help jail administrators protect the health and rights of people incarcerated.

OMNI Institute, in partnership with the JBS RCORP-TA team, created the 2022-2023 RCORP-TA Data Learning Collaborative (LC) for grantees to come together and share knowledge, talk through challenges, and build relationships with one another. This LC will build upon the foundation established in the prior 2022 RCORP-TA Data Learning Collaborative.

The JBS evaluation team will review and provide guidance on the PIMS measures that are most problematic for grantees and the new PIMS measures that are pending OMB approval. They will also highlight ways that consortiums can use their data dashboards to highlight successes and areas for improvement as they work to obtain funding and motivate and engage stakeholders.

This session will walk through the strategic plan template provided by JBS International in the Grantee Onboarding Packet for HRSA RCORP-Planning Grantees. During this workshop style webinar, facilitators will walk grantees through the template section by section, discussing the required elements and providing examples of each section. Grantees will learn how to use their data to determine problem statements, goals, objectives, and outcomes for their strategic plan as well as how to include metrics to successfully track their progress.
