The Nitazenes Overview resource created by RCORP-TA describes what nitazenes are, how to determine if they are in your community, and how to prevent and respond to overdoses due to nitazenes. Additional resources are also provided to learn more about nitazenes.

Given the epidemic of increased maternal mortality and morbidity in the U.S., there is growing sentiment on how to mitigate preventable causes, including that of addressing substance use disorder (SUD). This webinar provided information on the complications of SUD in pregnancy, along with methods for effective intervention and management for clinicians and collaborators.

The Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), Comprehensive Opioid, Stimulant, and Substance Use Program (COSSUP), and Advocates for Human Potential, Inc. (AHP) has provided a curated resource list for corrections officers and other jail staff members manage the well-being of individuals in jail custody who have SUD. The categories of resources were prioritized by participants in a jail practitioner roundtable on opioid-related training needs convened by the Bureau of Justice Assistance.

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) has published the new resource "Counseling Approaches To Promote Recovery From Problematic Substance Use and Related Issues". This Treatment Improvement Protocol (TIP) provides guidance to counselors, administrators, and supervisors about recovery-oriented services, supports, and care, allowing them to better serve individuals in or seeking recovery from problematic substance use.

The toolkit Stimulant Safety: Getting Amped Up to Reduce Harms When Using Stimulants was developed through the CDC-funded National Harm Reduction Technical Assistance Center in collaboration with the NASTAD Drug User Health team and consultants. This resource provides education on the reasons people take stimulants, how to minimize harm, reduce stigma around stimulants, support peoples' positive experiences, the intersection of stimulant use and sexual safety, and much more.

The FY22 RCORP-Implementation cohort is diverse and dynamic in every way, representing a wide variety of experience and possessing an unending amount of knowledge on SUD in rural areas. This session explored the different methods and practices this cohort uses in its efforts to address SUD prevention, treatment, and recovery. Participants had an opportunity to learn from and to build relationships with one another, which will, in turn strengthen, their RCORP projects. Additionally, they heard from RCORP program staff and the RCORP-Evaluation team about program updates and data utilization tools.
