This presentation provided an overview of RCORP’s ability to impact service capacity, access, and health status within our rural communities.

OMNI Institute, in partnership with the JBS RCORP-TA team, created the Spring 2023 Data Learning Collaborative for all RCORP grant recipients. These sessions built the foundation for data learning, and we dove into data-related topics during each month’s skills-building session.

During the initial stages of the Rural Communities Opioid Response Program (RCORP) implementation, lead agencies of RCORP consortia reported difficulty recruiting new members, building key partnerships, and planning and coordinating RCORP-focused activities. Fortunately, with dedication and collaborative work, consortium growth and engagement became successful at the end of the grant period, as reported by 87.5 percent of the grantees. Findings in the report available for download below are based on qualitative interviews conducted with RCORP grantees between 9/1/2020 and 8/31/2022.

The RCORP Data Coordinator meeting series began in July 2022, hosted by RCORP-Evaluation in partnership with RCORP-TA. These meetings provide an opportunity for the JBS RCORP team to work with Data Coordinators and other consortium staff to address topics impacting data quality, reporting and utilization. Discussion in these meetings helps to inform additional webinar sessions and resources, developed to meet grantee needs.

This session was held for Implementation III grantees who are interested in learning more about how to access and utilize their recently released RCORP Data Dashboards. January Data Coordinator meeting content, which includes strategies for preventing common PIMS errors, is also covered during this session.

This session was held for Implementation 4 grantees preparing for their first PIMS report, but the content is applicable to all RCORP cohorts who are interested in improving their data collection and reporting strategies.

The RCORP-Evaluation & RCORP-Technical Assistance teams hosted two webinars on Strategies for Collecting RCORP Data for new Implementation 4, Psychostimulant Support 2, Behavioral Healthcare Support, and MAT Access grantees. Below you’ll find the recording and slides to access the webinar recording from our session held on December 14th.

The Disparities Impact Statement (DIS) template is a deliverable for this project that you will be required to complete. There was a webinar discussing the DIS for all relevant cohorts on November 15, 2022. This webinar provided RCORP grantees with the tools to complete a disparities impact statement, to support efforts to address populations in rural communities that have historically suffered from poorer health outcomes and health inequities as a part of the prevention, treatment, and recovery of SUD/OUD. We strongly encourage you to review these documents or listen to the recording when it is posted to the RCORP- TA portal at a later date.
