The recently-created website for telehealth launched by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services in April now provides information in Spanish to help patients understand what types of care are available, how to prepare for a telehealth visit, and tips on finding telehealth options. Information in Spanish that's geared toward providers will be available in the future.

Researchers interviewed 20 individuals – clinicians, peer support specialists, cultural practitioners, and others familiar with OUD treatment – in a Minnesota tribal community. The Cascade of Care model measures the quality of outcomes at each stage of treatment, from diagnosis to long-term maintenance, and was first proposed in 1998 as an approach to care for HIV/AIDS.

Recovery housing and a social recovery approach offer a broad, holistic, multifaceted strategy for rural or urban communities. OMNI Institute, in partnership with the JBS RCORP-TA team, created the 2022-2023 RCORP-TA Data Learning Collaborative (LC) for grantees to come together and share knowledge, talk through challenges, and build relationships with one another. This LC will build upon the foundation established in the prior 2022 RCORP-TA Data Learning Collaborative.

Dr. Brooklyn discussed the following topics: the implementation of a Hub and Spoke model can lead to a significant increase in number of people with OUD treated in rural areas by providing resources for small and rural medical and behavioral health practices and a novel program to increase dosing compliance and security through the use of secure medication dispensers and a Smartphone app can increase access to MOUD in rural areas.
