The nation’s opioid epidemic continues to compromise the health and well-being of individuals, families, and communities. Federal policymakers and agencies are developing, implementing, and funding strategies focused on turning the tide to address opioid misuse, opioid use disorder, fatal and non-fatal drug overdoses, prenatal substance exposure, dissolution or breakup of families, and financial ruin experienced in communities nationwide.

The JBS RCORP-TA team have collated a number of resources to assist grantees during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Currently, these resources are collected in an Excel spreadsheet for grantees to download resources of their choosing. In the coming weeks, each resource will be included in the RCORP-TA Resource Portal as an individual resource.

Like all professions, the addictions treatment field is faced with the challenges of employee substance use and abuse and their impact on retention of quality staff. Because the addictions field employees a disproportionate number of individuals – by recent estimates close to half of the treatment workforce – in recovery, the field faces particular retention challenges. This toolkit provides meaningful and practical guidance to the problem of substance misuse among addictions professionals.
