This webinar illustrated how to use the data dashboards to understand and display your progress to funders, stakeholders, and the community. Examples of how to use dashboard filters, understand trends, and explore relationships between data displayed in various charts were provided.

The JBS evaluation team will review and provide guidance on the PIMS measures that are most problematic for grantees and the new PIMS measures that are pending OMB approval. They will also highlight ways that consortiums can use their data dashboards to highlight successes and areas for improvement as they work to obtain funding and motivate and engage stakeholders.

The University of Vermont Center on Rural Addiction (UVM CORA), the University of Rochester, and the Fletcher Group have conducted an online survey assessing SUD stigma (including stigmatizing language), treatment needs and barriers, and concerns through the perspectives of rural, RCORP-affiliated practitioners. The data report explores the findings of the survey, including practitioner recommendations on improving access to OUD treatment.

The Reagan-Udall Foundation for the FDA (FDA Foundation), in partnership with several operating divisions within the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), convened two roundtable meetings to understand the perspectives of the harm reduction community, clinicians, and researchers about using fentanyl drug checking and screening as harm reduction and clinical strategies.

During the initial stages of the Rural Communities Opioid Response Program (RCORP) implementation, lead agencies of RCORP consortia reported difficulty recruiting new members, building key partnerships, and planning and coordinating RCORP-focused activities. Fortunately, with dedication and collaborative work, consortium growth and engagement became successful at the end of the grant period, as reported by 87.5 percent of the grantees. Findings in the report available for download below are based on qualitative interviews conducted with RCORP grantees between 9/1/2020 and 8/31/2022.

The data visualization in the National Vital Statistics System, received and processed by the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS), shows the 12 month provisional number and percent change of drug overdose deaths. The analysis dashboard also shows the provisional number of drug overdose deaths by drug or drug class.

There are multiple systems that can help individuals to address substance use disorder (SUD). A new report from the Addiction and Public Policy Initiative of the O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law at Georgetown Law Center discusses how these multiple systems are often disjointed which creates barriers for those needing to access services for SUD.
