This webinar will introduce attendees to the infrastructure, implementation, impact and adaptation of Regrounding. Our Response, a statewide effort to address stigma through collective impact underway in Maryland and being adapted in West Virginia. Structured around 5 curriculum areas, each addressing a persistent myth instrumental in upholding stigma related SUD/OUD, the content is delivered within the state at no cost by one of the 25 master presenters trained from across regions and sectors—a process being captured by the Association of State and Territorial Health Officers, who are producing a toolkit that is forthcoming.

We know from RCORP grantees, first responders, hospitals, people who use drugs, the media and other allies that many communities are seeing spikes in overdose (OD) events and deaths since the onset of COVID-19. Sometimes these deaths come at alarming levels because of stretched public health infrastructure and the time it takes to turn around data. The webinar took place on May 26, 2020.

This webinar provided RCORP grantees with the tools to complete a disparities impact statement, to support efforts to address populations in rural communities that have historically suffered from poorer health outcomes and health inequities as a part of the prevention, treatment, and recovery of SUD/OUD.

The Disparities Impact Statement (DIS) template is a deliverable for this project that you will be required to complete. There was a webinar discussing the DIS for all relevant cohorts on November 15, 2022. This webinar provided RCORP grantees with the tools to complete a disparities impact statement, to support efforts to address populations in rural communities that have historically suffered from poorer health outcomes and health inequities as a part of the prevention, treatment, and recovery of SUD/OUD. We strongly encourage you to review these documents or listen to the recording when it is posted to the RCORP- TA portal at a later date. The webinar held by NASTAD on October 26, 2022, 4:00-5:30pm featured a dynamic discussion on integrating harm reduction principles and practices, including naloxone distribution, safe disposal, and harm reduction supply access, within the community health care setting. Health centers across the country that offer these services as part of comprehensive care shared their experiences and the ways that service expansion can contribute to engagement and care access.

During this welcome webinar, FORHP program coordinator and supervisory grants management specialist will review program guidelines and updates, introduce the Technical Assistance and Evaluation Leads from JBS International, and answer initial questions grantees may have to get started with their projects. The RCORP evaluation team will provide an overview of the objectives of the evaluation, the data that will be collected, and resources available to grantees.
