It organizes key information and resources to help the busy manager support and lead education and discussion with front-line staff. The Housing Assistance Council's new Rural Resource Guide: Affordable Housing and Recovery in Rural Communities is an effort towards assisting local rural organizations with proper resources. While many across the U.S. are facing substance use disorder (SUD) and opioid misuse, housing is essential to addressing the epidemic. The guide is meant as a resource to housing practitioners looking to help provide homes to individuals affected by SUD.

The IHS forensic healthcare program was established in 2011 to address sexual violence, and has expanded to include intimate partner violence, child sexual abuse, and elder maltreatment. The program trains providers in forensic medical examinations, evidence collection techniques, and in coordinated community response to address violence.

This Guide on Prevention of Drug Use and Treatment of Drug Use Disorder in Rural Settings was prepared by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime Drug Prevention and Health Branch, in the context of the global project Treatnet II: OFID-UNODC Programme to prevent HIV/AIDS through Treatnet Phase II, with the aim of providing an awareness-raising tool and guidance for policymakers, public health officials, local authorities and other stakeholders in dealing with substance use issues in rural settings in their respective countries.
