Peer providers are viable, evidence based, stand alone or additions to comprehensive teams that approach struggle interventions. Peer providers can be appropriate for any environment that have people with challenges ranging from substance use, gun violence, domestic violence to mental health experiences. Learning Objectives: What are the certifications that a peer provider can receive? You will walk away knowing various ways peers can show up in the workplace. What additional training do peer providers need? Information on what trainings would be helpful for peers to be able to support others well will be provided. How do we find, support and retain peer providers in the work place? Knowing where to recruit peers, how to keep the workplace well for peer will be knowledge you will leave with.
