Participants learned about rural resources for funding, data, program evaluation, and how to effectively grow the visibility of an RCORP project. The panel explored opportunities to engage with State Offices of Rural Health (SORH), discussed SORH’s top ten resources, and outlined the wide variety of TA and efforts of SORH across the region.

This session highlighted the ways in which data from RCORP consortia are used, how service capacity and access have changed, and whether there is evidence that the health status of rural residents is improving. Additional data on telehealth utility, COVID-19 vaccination efforts, and drivers of Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) retention was highlighted.

This session highlighted over a decade of Community Apgar research and its implementation supporting community development for physician recruitment and retention in rural FQHCs and CAHs. This presentation also included ongoing implementation of the program through collaboration with 3RNet and the use of a “Factors Book” which can highlight community assets and focus recruitment efforts to better meet community needs.
