The Memorial Hospital
Project Summary
As we address the constantly changing, ever-growing issues of substance use and mental disorders in our region, MRH’s diverse group of stakeholders will work to reduce morbidity and mortality through collaboration among local primary care and specialty providers, SUD treatment providers, addiction counselor training programs, recovery community organizations, pharmacists, hospital staff, and community-based prevention organizations. Many of these professionals and agencies include people who have lived experience with SUD/OUD. This project will improve access to and quality of SUD/OUD and other behavioral healthcare services for all population groups across the region, with particular emphasis on high-risk and underserved populations. In our region, Hispanic residents, low-income women, and people who work in the agriculture, mining, and hospitality industries are particularly prone to substance use.
