Project Summary
RCORP’s primary goals are to reduce risks of Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) among new and at-risk users, implement or expand access to evidence-based practices for uninsured/underinsured residents and implement or expand access to recovery and treatment options to residents of Cherokee County. The objectives we strive to achieve are to increase the access to Naloxone, reduce stigma towards individuals with substance use disorder and medicated assisted treatment, provide educational opportunities to residents, regarding substance use disorder, provide resources for individuals discharging from local jails and hospitals, and to establish an OUD/SUD peer support program, for individuals in recovery in Cherokee County.
