The Providers Clinical Support System - Medications for Alcohol Use Disorder (PCSS-MAUD) is a national project funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration to provide free, comprehensive training, guidance, and mentoring on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of alcohol use disorder.

The Addiction Technology Transfer Center Network Coordinating Office (ATTC NCO) convened the Contingency Management Task Force (CM Task Force) in April 2023 at the request of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). The SAMHSA Guidance for Implementation of Contingency Management Training and Technical Assistance was developed by the CM Task Force.

The report Financing Peer Recovery Support: Opportunities to Enhance the Substance Use Disorder Workforce was prepared for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Center for Financing Reform and Innovation (CFRI) and provides background history of the development of Peer Recovery (PR), including an overview of the current landscape of PR Programs. HepVu released new interactive maps visualizing U.S. county-level Hepatitis C-related mortality, illustrating how factors such as age and geographic region affect health outcomes. Published in Hepatology, the data demonstrate that Hepatitis C-related mortality has been decreasing across the U.S. since 2013

An analysis of emergency department data shows a rise in nonfatal drug overdoses for youth under 15, from 2016 to 2019. Overdoses among the youngest kids aged 0-14 are relatively rate. However, risk increases with age, as the rate of all drug overdoses among youth aged 15-24 was more than double that of 11-14-year olds. Stimulant overdoses increased for all age groups, while heroin decreased for 15-24-year olds.

Non-fatal opioid overdose (NFOO) is a significant cause of opioid-related morbidity in the United States. As the number of NFOOs continues to grow, it is important to understand the short- and long-term consequences of NFOO. This report examines the existing literature on the acute and chronic health and functional outcomes of individuals who experience NFOO, and also identifies differences in outcomes for NFOOs involving illicitly-manufactured fentanyl.
