Joined this panel of former RCORP-Planning grantees as they shared their lessons learned and how they hit the ground running as they completed Planning and embarked on Implementation. Heard from panelists who received Implementation funding as well as those who were able to move forward without dedicated Implementation funding.

This session provided participants with realistic and achievable steps to help consortiums leverage their RCORP-Planning efforts to achieve long-lasting sustainable impact. Participants heard from two RCORP-Planning III sites that are successfully navigating and securing sustainability for their communities using different approaches.

Effective prevention includes Design, Development, and Delivery. This session addressed the critical need to follow the science, what the science is, and how the Randolph County Caring Community (RCCC) has Designed, Developed, and Delivered an evidence-based prevention system in their area. Participants learned how the PROSPER (PROmoting School-community-university Partnerships to Enhance Resilience) model has brought additional partners to its consortium, leading to the use of tested and effective prevention programs.

Health care workforce shortages continue to persist across rural communities, while current emerging trends have made it increasingly challenging to recruit physicians and other health care professionals. HRSA shared how one rural workforce initiative, the Rural Residency Planning and Development (RRPD) Program, is increasing the rural physician pipeline. Featured RRPD grantees discussed how their programs are shaping the behavioral health workforce of the future.
