As states seek new tools to meet the needs of individuals with substance use disorder (SUD) and opioid use disorder, federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) offer unique resources and examples for developing integrated and cost-effective health care services for complex and chronic conditions. The National Academy for State Health Policy developed this toolkit to share innovations, resources, and lessons learned from five state teams (AL, IL, SD, VA, and WI) that are working to strengthen the capacity of their FQHCs to deliver SUD care

Joined this panel of former RCORP-Planning grantees as they shared their lessons learned and how they hit the ground running as they completed Planning and embarked on Implementation. Heard from panelists who received Implementation funding as well as those who were able to move forward without dedicated Implementation funding.

This session provided participants with realistic and achievable steps to help consortiums leverage their RCORP-Planning efforts to achieve long-lasting sustainable impact. Participants heard from two RCORP-Planning III sites that are successfully navigating and securing sustainability for their communities using different approaches.

Pharmacists can play an important role in improving access to medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD), especially for individuals living in rural areas where health care workforce shortages are pervasive. Learn how pharmacists can provide Medication Administration Services (MAS) and establish Collaborative Practice Agreements (CPA) in coordination with one or more treating health care providers.
