Bringing Recovery Supports to Scale Technical Assistance Center Strategy (BRSS TACS) created this directory based on information obtained from state certification boards for alcohol and substance use professionals, state mental health and substance use disorder authorities, sources identified by the International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium (IC&RC), local and statewide recovery community organizations, and the National Association of State Alcohol and Drug Abuse Directors. The PMHC Toolkit provides resources for law enforcement agencies to partner with service providers, advocates, and individuals with mental illness and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). The goal of these partnerships is to ensure the safety of all, to respond effectively, and to improve access to services and supports for people with mental illness and I/DD.

The University of Rochester, a RCORP-Rural Center of Excellence on SUD Prevention, has 988 Lifeline posters available for download on their website. The national 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline was launched in July 2023 and provides a way for individuals experiencing a suicidal, mental health, or substance use disorder crisis to receive urgent help 24/7. Spreading awareness of the 988 Lifeline is important as it can help residents in rural areas obtain treatment and help quickly.
