This webinar will introduce attendees to the infrastructure, implementation, impact and adaptation of Regrounding. Our Response, a statewide effort to address stigma through collective impact underway in Maryland and being adapted in West Virginia. Structured around 5 curriculum areas, each addressing a persistent myth instrumental in upholding stigma related SUD/OUD, the content is delivered within the state at no cost by one of the 25 master presenters trained from across regions and sectors—a process being captured by the Association of State and Territorial Health Officers, who are producing a toolkit that is forthcoming.

HepVu released new interactive maps visualizing U.S. county-level Hepatitis C-related mortality, illustrating how factors such as age and geographic region affect health outcomes. Published in Hepatology, the data demonstrate that Hepatitis C-related mortality has been decreasing across the U.S. since 2013

The National Standards for Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services in Health and Health Care (known as the National CLAS Standards) are intended to advance health equity, improve quality and help eliminate health care disparities by establishing a blueprint for organizations to deliver effective, understandable and respectful services at every point of patient contact. Adoption of the National CLAS Standards will help advance better health and health care in the United States.

The Disparities Impact Statement (DIS) template is a deliverable for this project that you will be required to complete. There was a webinar discussing the DIS for all relevant cohorts on November 15, 2022. This webinar provided RCORP grantees with the tools to complete a disparities impact statement, to support efforts to address populations in rural communities that have historically suffered from poorer health outcomes and health inequities as a part of the prevention, treatment, and recovery of SUD/OUD. We strongly encourage you to review these documents or listen to the recording when it is posted to the RCORP- TA portal at a later date. This Rural Health Care Chartbook is part of a family of documents and tools that support the National Healthcare Quality and Disparities Report (NHQDR). The NHQDR includes annual reports to Congress mandated in the Healthcare Research and Quality Act of 1999 (P.L. 106- 129). These reports provide a comprehensive overview of the quality of healthcare received by the general U.S. population and disparities in care experienced by different racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic groups. The reports assess the performance of our health system and identify areas of strength and weakness in the healthcare system along four main axes: access to healthcare, quality of healthcare, disparities in healthcare, and Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) priority areas. The reports are based on more than 250 measures of quality and disparities covering a broad array of healthcare services and settings. Data are generally available through 2017-2018. The reports are produced with the help of an Interagency Work Group led by AHRQ and submitted on behalf of the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS).
