The RCORP-Evaluation & RCORP-Technical Assistance teams hosted two webinars on Strategies for Collecting RCORP Data for new Implementation 4, Psychostimulant Support 2, Behavioral Healthcare Support, and MAT Access grantees. This webinar will introduce the newest RCORP program cohorts to the RCOEs, Fletcher Group, University of Rochester, and University of Vermont. These three cooperative agreements are charged with supporting the identification, translation, dissemination, and implementation of evidence-based programs and best practices, in addition to providing specialized TA to RCORP recipients and other rural providers.

The RCORP Data Coordinator meeting series began in July 2022, hosted by RCORP-Evaluation in partnership with RCORP-TA. These meetings provide an opportunity for the JBS RCORP team to work with Data Coordinators and other consortium staff to address topics impacting data quality, reporting and utilization. Discussion in these meetings helps to inform additional webinar sessions and resources, developed to meet grantee needs.

During the initial stages of the Rural Communities Opioid Response Program (RCORP) implementation, lead agencies of RCORP consortia reported difficulty recruiting new members, building key partnerships, and planning and coordinating RCORP-focused activities. Fortunately, with dedication and collaborative work, consortium growth and engagement became successful at the end of the grant period, as reported by 87.5 percent of the grantees. Findings in the report available for download below are based on qualitative interviews conducted with RCORP grantees between 9/1/2020 and 8/31/2022.

The FY22 RCORP-Implementation cohort is diverse and dynamic in every way, representing a wide variety of experience and possessing an unending amount of knowledge on SUD in rural areas. This session explored the different methods and practices this cohort uses in its efforts to address SUD prevention, treatment, and recovery. Participants had an opportunity to learn from and to build relationships with one another, which will, in turn strengthen, their RCORP projects. Additionally, they heard from RCORP program staff and the RCORP-Evaluation team about program updates and data utilization tools.

This session focused on FY 21 RCORP-Implementation III. Grantees received an overview of the upcoming Sustainability Plan Year 2 deliverable, including a walkthrough of the template.
