The Northwest Prevention Technology Transfer Center (PTTC) Network has developed an Alcohol Awareness Toolkit to use during Alcohol Awareness Month. The Alcohol Awareness Toolkit will help you raise awareness about alcohol-related harms and the importance of strong alcohol policies. It also encourages engagement from prevention and public health stakeholders to strategically educate and inform decision-makers about effective alcohol policies by providing easy-to-personalize, templated opinion editorials, letters to legislators, and proclamations.

The next National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is on April 22, 2023. If you have unused or expired prescription medications, you can locate a safe and convenient disposal drop off location using the U.S Drug Enforcement Association's (DEA) website. The DEA aims to help the public remove unneeded medications from their homes as a measure of preventing medication misuse and opioid addiction from ever starting.

The Disparities Impact Statement (DIS) template is a deliverable for this project that you will be required to complete. There was a webinar discussing the DIS for all relevant cohorts on November 15, 2022. This webinar provided RCORP grantees with the tools to complete a disparities impact statement, to support efforts to address populations in rural communities that have historically suffered from poorer health outcomes and health inequities as a part of the prevention, treatment, and recovery of SUD/OUD. We strongly encourage you to review these documents or listen to the recording when it is posted to the RCORP- TA portal at a later date. The New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) convened a Technical Working Group on Resuscitation Training in Naloxone Programs to ensure that overdose programs in New York State (NYS) and elsewhere are afforded the best possible resuscitation protocol guidance tailored to suspected opioid overdoses in diverse settings.
