The American Medical Association’s Opioid Task Force report shows a dramatic increase in fatalities involving illicit opioids, stimulants (e.g. methamphetamine), heroin and cocaine and a similarly dramatic drop in the use of prescription opioids.

This webinar provided new information on the risks and clinical challenges presented by individuals who use psychostimulants (cocaine, methamphetamine and prescription stimulants). A review of the clinical strategies that are important in working with this population were presented, including psychosocial and medication treatments for those with stimulant use disorder.
