The Project Directors and Data Coordinator from Ohio’s Community of Practice Rural Community Opioid Response Program (CoP- RCORP) Consortium shared lessons from the field on collecting and managing data for the Biannual Progress Report. This presentation covered the approach and tools to collecting information for the Work Plan, Request for Information, and Excel Data Supplement. Supports for invoicing and effort reporting were also discussed.

This Treatment Improvement Protocol (TIP) provides guidance to counselors, administrators, and supervisors about recovery-oriented services, supports, and care, allowing them to better serve individuals in or seeking recovery from problematic substance use.

Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is the use of medications, combined with counseling, to treat substance use disorders. Research has proven the effectiveness of MAT and addiction treatment experts endorse it, but a variety of barriers have prevented the widespread use of MAT. These include a lack of financing for medication, insufficient organizational infrastructure to deliver medication, state and county funding and regulatory obstacles, physician training and certification, staff and client resistance, and community attitudes.
