The 2024 RCORP Data Coordinator meeting series began in May 2024, hosted by RCORP-Evaluation (Customer Value Partners), in partnership with RCORP-TA (JBS International). The purpose of this meeting series is to present a deep dive into all aspects of PIMS data collection with an overview of data requirements, data collection, and addressing common data collection challenges with hands-on best practices. This series is geared towards Data Coordinators; however, anyone involved in RCORP grant data collection is welcome to join. This article discusses strategies to recruit primary care providers who will implement a medication for opioid use disorder integrated care model. The Pennsylvania Project, Project RAMP, was guided by a framework highlighting design, recruitment, pre-implementation, and implementation processes. The study covers the implementation sites that were recruited, the planning and implementation activities, and evaluation of the processes.

The four-module implementation toolkit developed by the National Center on Substance Abuse and Child Welfare offers strategies to develop peer support specialist programs for parents affected by substance use—whose children and families are involved with child welfare.

The RCORP Data Coordinator meeting series began in July 2022, hosted by RCORP-Evaluation in partnership with RCORP-TA. These meetings provide an opportunity for the JBS RCORP team to work with Data Coordinators and other consortium staff to address topics impacting data quality, reporting and utilization. Discussion in these meetings helps to inform additional webinar sessions and resources, developed to meet grantee needs.

The opioid epidemic is the result of a complex system of varied and interrelated factors. This webinar introduced a systems thinking approach and tools to address such complex public health challenges. The Georgia Health Policy Center’s Opioid Systems Map was presented as a case study for the creation and application of systems mapping in local communities. The webinar fostered a holistic view of the opioid epidemic and described opportunities to further develop systems thinking capacity for application to grantees’ local opioid response.

This toolkit is designed primarily for substance use and child welfare practitioners, as well as other service providers and health system planners who offer services to, or design services with, pregnant women and new mothers who use substances. Much is changing in the substance use and child welfare fields to bring forth approaches that are culturally safe, trauma informed, harm reduction-oriented and participant-driven. This toolkit highlights these advances and invites people working in both systems to think about how we can continue to improve our work, in partnership with the women who use these services.
