Recovery housing and a social recovery approach offer a broad, holistic, multifaceted strategy for rural or urban communities. This panel featured diverse faces and voices representing a variety of recovery experience including elements of medications for opioid use disorder, alcohol-free recreation, harm reduction mutual aid, outdoor hobbies, yoga and meditation, recovery-supportive housing, collegiate recovery, 12-step mutual aid, and more.

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) has provided resources for families who may be helping a loved one experiencing a mental or substance use disorder. SAMHSA provides documents and videos on how to start the conversation and support guides as families can play a central role in helping loved ones.

A new report from the Addiction and Public Policy Initiative of the O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law at Georgetown Law Center discusses how these multiple systems are often disjointed which creates barriers for those needing to access services for SUD.

This webinar will introduce the newest RCORP program cohorts to the RCOEs, Fletcher Group, University of Rochester, and University of Vermont.
