Presenters will explain recovery housing and MOUD in the context of issues emerging in rural America resulting from the pandemic and its impact on the rates of substance use disorder (SUD) and drug overdose. They will discuss the impact of the pandemic on the correctional system and state actions in response to COVID-19 as it affects those with SUD. They will also give an overview of how recovery housing can be developed, especially in rural areas.

The Behavioral Health Data Learning Collaborative presentation will introduce goals of understanding data and data sharing, use of indicators and data sources, and data driven programming and quality improvement. Open discussion will follow each presentation.

The WICHE Behavioral Health Program, in partnership with staff at the Suicide Prevention Resource Center (SPRC), developed the Suicide Prevention Toolkit for Primary Care Practices to provide the necessary tools and information needed to primary care practices and clinics to identify and address the critical needs of suicidal patients. This revised edition is fully aligned with Zero Suicide, the nationally recognized, evidence-based suicide prevention framework.
