The Nitazenes Overview resource created by RCORP-TA describes what nitazenes are, how to determine if they are in your community, and how to prevent and respond to overdoses due to nitazenes. Additional resources are also provided to learn more about nitazenes.

Researchers assessed whether there was a connection between buprenorphine dose and time to treatment discontinuation when fentanyl is prevalent. The results showed that a 24mg dose of buprenorphine remained in treatment longer than those prescribed 16mg. Therefore, higher buprenorphine doses could be considered to help improve treatment retention.

In addition, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration provides a social media toolkit for communities to utilize.

Adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) are events of abuse, neglect, and household dysfunction that occur between birth and 17 years of age. Multiple studies established the association between ACEs, risky behaviors, and poor physical and mental health outcomes in childhood and beyond. Rural and minority children often have higher rates of ACEs exposure than their peers.

The 2024 RCORP Data Coordinator meeting series began in May 2024, hosted by RCORP-Evaluation (Customer Value Partners), in partnership with RCORP-TA (JBS International). The purpose of this meeting series is to present a deep dive into all aspects of PIMS data collection with an overview of data requirements, data collection, and addressing common data collection challenges with hands-on best practices. This peer reviewed journal article OUD treatment and pregnancy outcomes among pregnant patients receiving OUD care through a telehealth addiction treatment program in the US. The patients identified in the study received buprenorphine or buprenorphine and naloxone treatment.

Researchers used data from electronic license renewals in 2021 to examine what factors affect the likelihood of providing medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid use disorder. Physicians and nurse practitioners who were younger, practiced in a public or community health center, and offered a sliding fee scale in their practice had a greater likelihood of providing MAT.
