RSV 2025: Breakout Session 7C - Promoting Recovery for Youth at Clinical High Risk for Psychosis Through Prevention and Early Intervention

Posted 5/14/2025 (updated 6/17/2025)

Description:

Early identification of youth at clinical high risk for psychosis (CHRP) can prevent the onset of psychosis or reduce the duration of untreated psychosis. Through providing screening and early intervention for youth at risk for psychosis, youth are less likely to enter treatment through aversive means and experience positive treatment outcomes. Participants learned about risk and protective factors of the prodromal stage of psychosis and current efforts that aim to identify youth at CHRP and how cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) related interventions can provide early intervention for youth at CHRP.
