Building Trust With Indigenous Communities, Understanding Community Dynamics, and Recognizing the Importance of Patient-centered Care Webinar Materials

As RCORP Grantees continue to build and grow partnerships with Indigenous peoples and communities, further information is needed to support these partnerships through building trust, understanding community dynamics, and recognizing the importance of patient-centered care. Shirley Cain, JD (Red Lake Nation), Technical Expert Lead (TEL) at JBS, and Andrea Medley, MPH (Haida Nation), guided attendees through an interactive session facilitated by JBS TELs Jordan Brandt and Natalie Slaughter.

This collaborative session provided:

• Real-life examples of historical and present-day challenges to building trust with Indigenous communities
• Opportunities to positively address these challenges and work together
