Breakout Session 6C: Resources for Rural Transformation (Day 2)

Description:

Grounded in the Social Determinants of Health framework, this presentation focused on the challenges faced by social service providers in tackling substance use disorder within rural communities and will help identifying key resources and partners in delivering SUD prevention, treatment and recovery services. USDA, a leader in the federal government’s support of rural communities, described its role and available resources to assist with rural development. In addition, researchers from the University of Kentucky and Utah State University will present evidence-based solutions and highlight promising practices that can help rural providers improve the well-being of individuals, families, and communities.
