Best Practices, Strategies, and Resources for Evidence-Based Prevention Programs Webinar Material

This webinar provided participants with resources to identify evidence-based prevention strategies, programs, and policies in the substance use prevention system. The presenter shared lessons learned from his 30 plus years of experience in the substance use disorder (SUD) system. Challenges to plan and implement best practice prevention was addressed, and ideas on how to address such challenges were presented.
Learning Objectives:
- Participants learned what constitutes an evidence-based prevention program.
- Participants were given resources to help agencies and communities identify evidence-based programs that best fit the priorities in their areas.
- Participants learned strategies to address barriers they may experience in prevention work.
- Participants learned how to adapt programs to meet the unique needs of individuals, families, and communities.
