he North Country Recovers Together initiative will expand NCHC's prevention, education, treatment and recovery assistance program (PETRA) by collaborating across community organizations to develop an integrated system of health, social and well-being to provide whole-person, whole-community care. A multi-faceted approach will be used for addressing psycho-stimulant use and misuse including education on evidence-based approaches for the unique treatment and recovery needs for psycho-stimulant disorder, support, education and engagement of families/caregivers, students and the community to increase understanding and reduce stigma that prevents connections to services, direct supports delivered by dually trained Community Health Worker/Recovery Coaches to support the recovery process of individuals, and focused education for first responders and police departments which includes the offering of Crisis Intervention Training (CIT).
