Project Summary
MCPHD and its consortium partners coordinate and provide trainings for addiction prevention, treatment, and recovery (including training in motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, community reinforcement and contingency management) for target area population stakeholders, first responders, faith-based community, community at large, school personnel, students, and persons living with addiction; coordinate the implementation of increased use of telehealth for SUD, mental health, and case management; implement and expand Safe Passage/No Wrong Door programs with the assistance of local law enforcement, EMT/ambulance groups, and fire departments; and provide exercise therapies, contingency management, cognitive behavioral therapy to individuals with MUD; build coalitions to provide long-term community recovery/respite care infrastructure and recruit, train and educate a Peer Volunteer Workforce team.
