Project Summary
The Northern Michigan Opioid Response Consortium (NMORC) Implementation project utilizes a robust staffing model and key targeted resources to implement the core activities within the Rural Communities Opioid Response Program Implementation Funding opportunity. NMORC is a 49-member Consortium addressing the opioid epidemic in a 21-county region including Cheboygan, Clare, Crawford, Gladwin, Kalkaska, Luce, Mackinac, Otsego, and Roscommon counties in rural Northern Michigan. NMORC consists of the healthcare facilities in the targeted 9-county region (including all hospitals, hospital affiliated clinics, and Federally Qualified Health Centers), Community Mental Health agencies, Local Public Health agencies, harm reduction organizations, counseling centers, treatment centers, recovery community resources, law enforcement, local coalitions/collaboratives and EMS.
