Project Summary
The CARES Consortium has identified for several years that substance use is an issue in the target area. In 2019, the Consortium received their first HRSA grant that was specific for opioid planning. Research conducted showed that the service area had an overwhelming need for prevention, recovery and treatment services related to substance use. The overall goal of this project is to continue to expand the prevention, treatment and recovery services for the rural individuals in the community JCH serves. The Consortium will focus on Methamphetamine, Adderall and Ritalin psychostimulants.
