Project Summary

The overarching goal of Central UT CORE-PS is: reducing the morbidity and mortality of substance use disorder (SUD), including opioid use disorder (OUD), in six high risk rural communities by implementing a set of core psychostimulant use disorder prevention, treatment, and recovery activities. The main objectives are to: reduce the prevalence of psychostimulant use disorder in the target area and increase access to psychostimulant use disorder in the target area. The service area is six fully rural counties in Central Utah- Juab, Sevier, Sanpete, Millard, Wayne, and Piute counties. The target population is any resident, especially the medically underserved, who misuses psychostimulants, their families/caregivers, first responders, social services and medical providers, and the public at large.
