Bay Rivers Telehealth Alliance

Project Summary

The goals of the BRTA Community Bridges Collaborative Psychostimulant Support Program are to increase access for the prevention, treatment, and recovery from substance use disorder in rural eastern Virginia, with a particular focus on the following psychostimulants: cocaine, methamphetamine and prescription stimulants for conditions such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder or depression. By linking Social Services Departments, Sheriff Departments, Free Clinic, Community Services Board and Health Provider to a coordinated system of care, our goal is to provide training, community awareness and support to address Psychostimulant Misuse and relationship to the overall problem of Substance Use Disorder.
