Project Summary
This project will create a Recovery Community Organization (RCO) in Morehead, KY. The RCO will serve as a safe space for those seeking to enter or sustain their recovery as well of the loved ones of those who have a Substance Use Disorder. The RCO will provide social services, such as housing and employment support, and transportation to recovery related appointments. The RCO will also serve as a beacon of hope in the community and will strive to reduce the stigma related to SUD and recovery by hosting events and community service days.

Establishing a recovery community organization
Social Services
Establishing social services to support individuals in recovery, such as childcare services during doctor’s appointments, transportation to treatment and counseling, connections to recovery friendly employment opportunities, etc.
Training: Behavioral & Non-Behavioral Health Providers
Offering certification, formalized training programs, and/or professional mentorship to enhance providers' ability to care for individuals with SUD/OUD, such as, Peer Recovery Coach certification, Medication Assisted Treatment waiver training, and Project ECHO
