Project Summary
The project will address the needs of pregnant women, mothers, and women of childbearing age who have a history of, or who are at risk for, substance use disorder (SUD), Opioid Use Disorder (OUD), with accompanying Co-occurring Disorders (COD) and their children, families, and caregivers in the identified service area. The initiative will also build capacity in reaching underserved populations who lack advocacy at the systems level. The project initiative, along with our consortium (The Consortium), will aim to reduce the incidence and impact of Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS) in rural Robeson County, North Carolina by improving systems of care, family supports, and social determinants of health.
