Allegan County Community Mental Health Services
Project Summary
OnPoint, formerly Allegan County Community Mental Health Services, is the Community Mental Health Services Program (CMHSP) for Allegan County, in southwest Michigan. OnPoint proposes, through a Rural Communities Opioid Response Program – Medication-Assisted Treatment Access (RCORP-MAT) grant, to implement and manage the first medication-assisted treatment (MAT) access point in Allegan County. The proposed project will facilitate withdrawal management and treatment of substance use disorders (SUD), including opiate use disorders (OUD) and alcohol use disorders (AUD) for the purposes of: (1) reducing the morbidity and mortality of SUD, including OUD and AUD, (2) improving the accessibility and quality of MAT within Allegan County, and (3) improving remission outcomes for adults within SUD treatment, including OUD and AUD treatment. OnPoint is a rural Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC). The proposed project is titled A-RCORP-MAT Access (Allegan County Rural Opioid Response Program – Medication Assisted Treatment Access).
