Oswego County Opportunities, Inc.
Project Summary
OCO and the Oswego County Opioid Response Consortium members will strengthen and expand SUD/OUD prevention, treatment, and recovery services for pregnant/parenting women, youth/young adults, the homeless population, LGBTQ individuals, and persons involved in the criminal justice system in Oswego County. Particular focus will be on increasing awareness of the disparities and reducing barriers to increase access to services for all individuals. Consortium members will also identify and launch a harm reduction campaign to provide education and information to the target populations in an effort to prevent overdoses and promote multiple pathways to recovery. SUD/OUD screening, treatment, and recovery services will be expanded to reach the target populations in the HRSA rural designated areas who are often lacking in these services. Many of the grant activities involve a joint effort between two or more partner agencies allowing them to compliment the other's services and improve service delivery for the target population.
