Health Care & Rehabilitation Services of Southeastern Vermont, Inc.

Project Summary

Working alongside our community emergency housing provider and our community justice center, we're developing and implementing a program that will bring harm reduction and restorative practices services to people utilizing emergency housing services and at the same time, people who also identify as living with substance-use. This includes people who are living in low- and high-barrier emergency housing, permanent supportive housing and people who are experiencing housing insecurities overall. Our project also focuses on using creative measures to help increase one's quality of life by working with community businesses and organizations and bringing on-site services, resources and activities that program participants can participate in. Our program will also prioritize and develop ways to engage with people most-impacted by substance-use, including people who have historically experienced marginalization, oppression and other forms of discrimination.
