Project Summary

The RCORP Implementation Program is a multi-year initiative with the goal of reducing morbidity and mortality of SUD, strengthening and expanding SUD/OUD prevention, treatment and recovery and enhancing rural access to treatment and recovery services. Compass Health, Inc. has selected the following Missouri Counties (Bates, Benton, Henry, Johnson, Pettis and St. Clair) to provide these critical services and supports targeting the following community populations: Women (pregnant, post-partum, and child-bearing age) with specific work at our residential Women and Children's Center; and general prevention of SUD, OUD and overdose within the selected six counties with targeted outreach with our selected consortium members. Specific goals of the grant include: Collaboration with partnering consortium members (existing and newly developed), general prevention of SUD/OUD, community development, outreach to jails for treatment and education purposes, overdose prevention that is targeted toward adolescents (relying on school partners to help facilitate such education), addressing the needs of pregnant and post-partum women with babies with SUD/OUD issues, and anticipating the needs of the communities we have selected to serve and help develop strategies to respond to emerging behavioral health care issues.
