Throughout this Implementation effort, we will leverage the deliverables from all consortium awards to advance foundational, prevention, and treatment/recovery core activities. Any currently implemented activity will be expanded or enhanced to better stand in the gap for the target populations, keeping disparity populations at the forefront. The Recovery Housing model we pilot in this project will be the main focus of the grant budget. We have secured relationships with local landlords that will collaborate to provide 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom units to furnish and renovate for supporting persons in recovery and their families. Recovery support staff will surround families with employment, childcare, transportation and other basic and recovery needs, with tapered rent and utilities subsidies for a calendar year while tenants are gaining self-sufficiency.
