Westcare Tennessee, Inc.

Project Summary

The Project goals are to improve family members, caregivers, and publics understanding of evidence based prevention, treatment, and recovery strategies for SUD/OUD and reduce stigma associated with the disease. Screen individuals to help provide the appropriate resources for prevention, harm reduction, early intervention, treatment, and other support services to minimize potential development of SUD/OUD. WestCare TN will help increase the access to Naloxone within the rural service areas, provide training on overdose prevention and Naloxone administration and increase the implementation of year round drug take back programs for the rural service areas. WestCare TN will also recruit, train, and mentor target service area with a interdisciplinary team of SUD/OUD clinical and social service providers knowledgeable on MAT and cognitive behavioral therapy while increasing the professional development of the interdisciplinary team. Integrate a community data sharing system to help with coordination of care while strengthening the recovery communities.
