As this project is an expansion to an existing RCORP project, the target population remains the same and is all individuals at risk of or diagnosed with OUD or at risk of or diagnosed with HIV, Hep B or Hep C because of injectable drug use, with an emphasis on high-risk populations to include maternal health patients and uninsured and underinsured populations who often will not seek or stay in treatment due to cost. While there is an emphasis on these patient populations, the Coalition’s goal is to meet the needs of all individuals in the newly expanded service area of Phelps and Maries Counties. The maternal health population is a focal point for the Coalition due to the lack of OB and women’s health services in south central Missouri. Your Community Health Center (YCHC) (applicant) is a source of pre- and post-natal care for maternal health patients in the region, particularly for self-pay individuals and individuals receiving Medicaid assistance.
