Sonoran Prevention Works
Project Summary
Southeast Arizona Systems Change Consortium for Opioid Use (SASCC-O) - will work from the micro to the macro, and upstream to downstream. While the consortium recognizes the immediate need to “stop the bleeding” for those currently impacted by OUD, this project also seeks to build community capacity to not only respond to crises, but to offer alternatives to substance use and preventable harms, and webs of support for those struggling with substances or other struggles of social marginalization. Our target population consists of individuals at risk for or with a diagnosis of OUD; their families and caregivers; youth; providers; and other community members. SASCC-O focuses heavily on supporting individuals who inject drugs and community members who are uninsured, under-insured, and on Medicaid/Medicare.
