Project Summary
Santa Fe Recovery Center, Hozho Center for Personal Enhancement, Rehoboth McKinley Christian Health Care Services (RMCHCS) WellSpring Recovery Center Behavioral Health Services, Navajo Area Indian Health Service Gallup Indian Medical Center and the New Mexico Human Services Department Behavioral Health Services Division have formed a collaborative partnership identified as the McKinley County Opioid and Substance Use Recovery Network (Consortium). This Consortium was established to respond to the opioid and substance abuse crisis in McKinley County, New Mexico. The Consortium is proposing to serve the rural, predominantly Native American, population of McKinley County, New Mexico including low-income men and women age 18 and over, the elderly, pregnant women, and people experiencing homelessness. The overarching goal is to increase access to substance use disorder (SUD)and opioid use disorder (OUD) prevention, treatment, and recovery services in McKinley County, New Mexico (NM) to prevent the health, social, and economic consequences associated with SUD/OUD misuse and addiction, and to enable the target population to achieve long-term recovery. The Consortium proposes to work in concert to implement all core required SUD/OUD activities as identified in the Work Plan within McKinley County, New Mexico to include: prevention, treatment, and recovery services.
