This program is designed to reduce the morbidity and mortality of substance use disorder (SUD), including opioid use disorder (OUD), in rural communities by strengthening and expanding SUD/OUD prevention, treatment, and recovery service delivery in high-risk rural communities. Our program assembles a consortium of providers, local county health agencies, and community non-profit organizations to: (a) identify and implement comprehensive SUD screening, treatment, and recovery services; and (b) develop and provide extensive trainings related to SUD prevention, community education, professional development, and provider/local community resources and services.
