Northern Kentucky University
Project Summary
The mission of this collaborative is to develop or enhance essential evidence-based prevention, intervention, treatment, recovery, and re-entry SUD/OUD services by shrinking or eliminating the behavioral and medical healthcare gaps and barriers in Owen County for those needing treatment and support. A secondary goal is to provide educational programming and training for Owen County residents to deepen and help sustain a Culture of Health, with a focus on eliminating stigma associated with SUD/OUD. The longer-range vision is to provide a replicable model for the Commonwealth of Kentucky of regional health consortia that reduce substance abuse mortality and morbidity through more effective, data-driven resource allocation and intentional workforce development focused on targeted student or trainee recruitment, education, placement, and loan repayment programs.
